Until recently, an in-store visit to a telecom company was compared to a stressful visit to the DMV. The Verizon Destination Store reimagined this retail experience and set the new standard for telecom companies to follow. The flagship store featured seven interactive zones where customers could explore digital products with immersive experiences.
This project spanned the summer and fall of 2013 with a massive effort of 3 of AKQA’s offices and multiple creative teams. My role was Senior Visual Designer with focus on the mobile and tablet experiences throughout the store.
The Verizon Destination Store won Store Design of the Year <1200sqm by the World Retail Awards in 2014.
